Baseball Mode started with a kid who loves baseball and a dad who thought it would be pretty cool to build something together.
HOW IT STARTED
It Started With an Idea
Baseball Mode really started with my son Ryan.
When he was younger, Ryan came up with an idea for a baseball product. We started looking into what it would take to actually make it, only to eventually discover that part of the idea had already been patented.
That could have been the end of it. Instead, it became the beginning.
We liked the idea of building something around baseball together, so we started Baseball Mode. At first, that meant writing about the game, reviewing equipment and creating helpful content for other players and parents. Over time, it grew into much more.
WHY BASEBALL MODE
We Actually Live This Stuff
Baseball isn't just a topic we picked for a website. It's a huge part of our family's life.
We've spent years around town baseball, travel baseball, practices, tournaments, lessons and more weekends at baseball fields than I could possibly count. We've bought the bats, gloves, training equipment and tournament gear. We've packed the coolers, booked the hotels and driven hours for games that sometimes lasted less time than the drive.
A lot of Baseball Mode comes directly from those experiences.
When we write a gear guide or product review, the goal is simple: help another baseball family make a better decision. And when we make a shirt about the ridiculous side of baseball-parent life, there's usually a reason it feels familiar.

The Brand Has Grown.
The Reason Behind It Hasn't Changed.
Ryan is still involved in the creative side of Baseball Mode, and we're still building something around a game our family loves.
His brother and sister are growing up around sports too, which is one reason you'll occasionally see Baseball Mode venture beyond the diamond.
We don't want Baseball Mode to feel like another faceless sports website. We want it to feel like it was made by people sitting a few chairs down from you at the field.
Because it probably was.
