If you've ever accidentally stained your clothes, you know the feeling of dread that comes along with it. Will the stain ever come out? Are the clothes ruined forever? When it comes to clothing stains, time is of the essence, so the sooner you treat a stain, the better your chances are of getting it out.
But even if you're treating a stain immediately, there's one thing you should never do. Put it in the dryer. The dryer's heat will set the stain, making it much harder (if not impossible) to remove. So, even if you're in a hurry, take the time to treat the stain and air dry your clothing.
If the stains are giving you trouble, it’s time to go with the tried and true method of using bleach to finish the job. To do this, fill up a bucket with slightly warm water, then add a small cap of bleach. Be sure to let the pants soak for an hour at a minimum before you rinse them with water. Run them through a wash cycle and make sure to air dry. If your pants are of the non-white variety, make sure your bleach is non-chlorine.
